Snow & Divorce

... a changing landscape of emotions

Despite a foot of the season's first glorious snowfall, we hosted a third in our series of workshops, Surviving the Divorce Maze.  It's Evergreen after all, and we had few folks who registered, fail to show.
In literature, snow often symbolizes a range of emotions from the sullen and sad to the transformed and renewed.  I think, as many large life events, divorce is full of that breadth of feelings.  It can arrive after much advance knowledge and planning, or arrive seemingly without notice at all.  It can impose burdens of cleanup and create opportunities for cleansing.
"Snow ... cleanses our world and our senses ... of a kind of weary familiarity, a taken-for-granted quality to which our eyes are all too susceptible." -- John Burnside
We continue to feel privileged to assist couples and parents facing its challenges and accessing its possible opportunities.
Our next workshop follows the holidays on Monday, January 25, 2016 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.
